harness recommendations (not buddy belt) I have buddy belts for the girls to wear normally (well, will be getting one from Kristen soon for my Lilah ;) ) I have a cheaper mesh fabric harness for Lilah to wear when it's raining, we are playing near the lake etc.......one that can get wet and I don't care if it gets ruined. But I need one for my papillon. Was looking at the Puppia maybe....but get the regular one or the vest? Any other suggestions? |
Actually Buddy belts have Introduced the BB2 Harness. The BB2 is made with synthetic leather. It can get wet and not get ruined. Made the same way as the leather. http://www.wfieldsforpets.com/BB2-Harness-p/bb.htm |

Chokefree makes a mesh harness that's sturdy but not bulky. We often use that one at the beach when I know the pups will get wet. I'm planning on getting BB2s for the beach this summer, too. |

I like the regular puppia harness. I've tried the vest style and ZoE slipped out of it in my front yard, which is on a main road...scary! I've never had a problem with the regular over the head style puppia and use them often. |

This is one of the harnesses I have. : PuppiaUS.com : |
I have that style and Bubba can back out of it. Plus, it chokes him and makes him hack. I also have a Canine Style one that SIssy can get out of. |
We love Puppia regular vest style, like the link posted above. It's the harness we use probably 85% of the time. :) |
I use this type from petsmart. Top Paw® Mia Collection Dog Harnesses - Harnesses - Collars, Harnesses & Leashes - PetSmart I like that I lay it down and she sort of steps into it, then it snaps/buckles on her back. There is no over the head needed. The dividing strap goes between her legs and up her chest. Has worked well since she was a baby. |

(For leather BBs, do not expose to heat/intense sun while drying. Leather will shrink.) |
