Do you think a onsie will work?? So lately, Prince has been on a mission to mark everything in my house, so he now wears a belly band 24/7. I was taking it off at night in bed...until he peed on my comforter 2 times in 2 days...so now, it's belly band 24/7. I feel a little bad that he's got to wear a band 24/7 as they seem a bit restrictive around his waste...so I was thinking I could put him in a baby onsie and stick a pad in there at night?? Do you guys think this will work?? What size onsie do you think I shoud get?? I tried to put a pad in his jammies but it won't stay. BTW...for anyone using belly bands, the depends pads work SOOO much better than maxi pads as far as soaking up the pee. I just got them and I can't believe the difference. I sometimes even have trouble telling he's went because it soaks it up so well. I just cut them in sections and stick them in!! |

I used to get my yorkie baby clothes for her like newborn clothes! onsie could work!!:) |
dog I am having the marking problem too. Not on everything. Just seems when I leave JoJo, he gets anxiety separation and will pee on his bed pad or the table leg. I trained him on pee pee pads I bought from Walmart. He still will go on them. Just has to mark his dog gone spot! I ordered a pee band for him and hope it works. Husband calls him a homewrecker and says we are not camping if he is going to lift his furry leg on the motorhome stuff. He is also a barker. I got a bark buster. It lets off high pitch tone when he barks. He just shivers when he hears that, guess it is working. No barking at things. I hope your precious Yorkie will learn not to pee and mine will too. |
1 Attachment(s) Keegan wears homemade belly bands 24/7 except on walks. To give him a little break from that, I've bought several cute infant bodysuit/onesie type outfits (some with long sleeves, some with pantlegs, also, but that takes some altering.) There's a "shield" shaped urinary incontinence pad for men that I use in those, rather than the poise/depends pads I tailor for use in his belly bands. The shield shape helps prevent his missing the target. If an outfit is a little wide on him, I may put a loose/stretchy belly band on the outside of it like a weight belt for added security. He doesn't seem to mind and even asks to have his "diaper" attended to sometimes. He's wearing one of the long-sleeve onesies in this pic. Attachment 397301 |

Awesome!! I was wondering if the ones with arms and legs would work as well. I was at Walmart last night and they had some really cheap onsies and I figured I could give those a shot. I think I know what you are talking about with the sheild shape depends too!! Seems like I remember a comercial for them!! LOL!! I've got to get my sewing machine fixed...or I may just buy a new one!! LOL!! I am not nearly as talented as some members on here, but I can do basic heming and and sew easy stuff!! |
