Coat oil or conditioner. I asked this question on the grooming thread, but I will repost it here. Gunners coat is very dry and flyaway. I put a belly band on him at all times in the house and that is making it worse on top of his coat. Is there a really good coat oil or conditioner that I can use daily (when I brush him) that will help tame the fly-aways and repair some of the damage? I use silk oil mixed in a bottle of water, but that doesn't seem like it is helping much. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. I don't need new shampoo or conditioner right now (even thought I would love some) hubby won't allow me to buy more until this stuff is gone. So just the spray on stuff that you use to brush out or an oil (I am already using coconut oil) that doesn't make his coat greasy looking. |
My Biewer has the fly aways too, I think it's from the heat. Try rubbing a dryer sheet over him It will help with the static. (vet recommended this to me) Also I leave the condition on to set a bit longer before rinsing, I just massage it in real well while the minutes pass. |

There is lots of great products - I always used CC Ice on Ice which is water based - but am now trying Espree High Sheen Show Finishing Spray - it does control fly aways and says it on the bottle. Jenny here at toplinepet.com has this line and I love it! I have always wanted to try it but had so many shampoos that I waited years to get this lol you can talk to her too and get her advise! |
