I'm sure that he can feel your love for him, and knows that you've done all that you could. I am so sorry that you are faced with this decision.

I'm so sorry. I know this is so hard, but seizures are really bad stuff. My brittany is having them more and more often now herself. She is 13 years old. And now her drool is bloody. Our vet said the same thing - it's getting to be about that time. But we were prepared for this. What you are going through - all I can do is offer my prayers and emotional support via here. Regardless of how long you have had your baby, it's your baby and this is just heartwrenching. God bless you with wisdom, comfort, and peace.

I know that you searched your soul long and hard to make this decision, and I firmly believe you are doing the right thing. This baby began in a world of hurt, and there is little sense in keeping him there, although I know you would have offered him all the comforts possible. He would have suffered way too much, and you right along there with him.

You are doing the right thing. Never second guess that, and no regrets.

I know it's difficult but the most humane thing you can do is release him. Let him go to rainbow bridge where he will be at peace. We can't always "fix" things. I know this is very very sad. But most of the time with cleft lip or pallet there are a host of other problems. I am so sorry.

So sorry that you have to make that decision. Out wiener dog injured his back and we rehabilitated him only to have it happen and paralize him 6 months later. We also were faced with the same thing. You are a great person who has done everthing you can do. You need to reassure yourself that you tried to do what you can, but sometimes that is not enough to make them comfortable. So you must make sure they do not suffer, it is hard, but it is the best thing for them. My heart goes out to you...

I just want to ditto everything said here. I know this is a very hard decision you\'ve had to make - I had to make it with my 15 year old poodle. Somehow knowing that mine led a long wonderful life makes me feel better than having to let go of your puppy. I think it\'s the right thing to do and you can\'t second guess that. Sounds like you\'ve given it a lot of thought and have gotten the best advise from your vet. Just wanted to say I\'m sorry for your loss.

My heart breaks for you. I am so terribly sorry about little Tinsel and I pray that you will have the strength to show him one last symbol of the love you have for him. I will keep you all in my prayers.

You have done the best you can, but some things just dont work out Im sure he knows you have given him as much love and attention as possible , but it is such a difficult decision , I wish you strength as you will need it whatever decision you make.

You made the right choice. He will be resting in peace and knowing that you loved him, even in that short time you had together.
