eye envy has anyone used eye envy on their dogs tear stains? Indy has some and I don't want to use angel eyes. |
I haven't heard of this, is it working for you so far? How does it work to help, does it have antibiotics or something different? |
I bought some at the pet expo last year. It works okay but not much better than spa lavish facial wash which is much less expensive. |
I have not started using it yet. Just wanted to know if anyone had used it |
Red yeast, tear stains thrive in moist places, so how eye envy works is: wipe w/solution, apply powder to dry the tear stains. I purchased a set awhile back. Used it a couple of x's, couldn't see any difference, maybe I didn't use it long enough. I'm not even sure what's in it, there's no info on the ingredients. I don't like that, want to know what's in everything I use on my dogs. Someone said using cornstarch to dry the tear stains works better than eye envy. I make sure to cut off all the stains affected by the red yeast & try to keep that area dry. Gerber PURE baby water also helped get rid of tear stains & eye goobers for Mimi & Turbo. Growing out the hair between their eyes helps a lot too, nothing poking their eyes & causing it to tear. I've also noticed that some kibbles caused more tear staining. |
Which kibbles did you find cause more tear staining? I just wipe his face everyday and trim the hair short so it won't poke his eyes. I can't imagine growing it out because he will suffer a while before all those hair lie down by itself. My poor thing hates hair in his eyes, once in a while he has one poking, he would keep rubbing his eyes and make it worse. |
