Omg help please Hello everyone/ anyone, I was replying to a post, it was a veryyy longgg reply all of a sudden my computer made a "bing" sound, and my reply window vanished. I high lited all my bottom tray icons, nothing appeared. I lost my reply, does anyone know if there is a way I can retrieve it, like does it get store in a YT draft folder, this is the second time this happened to me. In a reply are you allowed so many lines? if you exceed it YT boots you out. I am a newbie and now very confused. |
There is no way to retrieve it, unfortunately. Yes, there is a limit to what a reply box will hold - but it holds a LOT. And if you exceed it, it doesn't erase what you've typed. Make sure when you log in that you're checking the "stay logged in" box. |
Omg Thanks for the info. I am / was logged in, it was a veryyyy longgg reply and it did vanish, poof, gone. Some times my lap top as I am typing will go to my desk top but if I move my mouse my page comes back and in the bottom tray I can see the window I am using in the tray. When this ling reply vanished I heard a "bing" sound come from my computer. I moved my mouse, nothing, I searched the bottom tray, nothing, I was booted out of YT. I went back into YT, back to the question posted. nothing. So frustrating to have lost the reply. YT should give a warning when you are near the exceeding mark. I will have to keep my replies shorter lol. Again thank you for your reply, your a sweetie pie. I am new to this site, everything is hit and miss now lol. I hope I can find my way YT fast lol. Have a great day |
Omg whoops, one other thing, just to ensure I don't get booted again, where do I find the "stay in "log |

Hope that helps! SUCH a bummer to lose a long reply, ugh, how frustrating! |
its possible that I hit some key, but it happened twice, a bummer to loose a long reply is an understatement lol, this last one was a very important one for the poster. Thanks for the "stayed logged in" info, I'll try that. I love the fact that this site the ppl are so caring and willing to share how things work on this site with us newbies. My cousin has a lil yorkie, I gave her this site, such a wealth of info. on it, and satisfaction in offering up your experience to help others. Have a good evening, and thank you again for your help |
In the future you might want to type long replies in microsoft word, at least then you can use the undo button if you mess up. |
