ok so Athena is weird. three times now, all on different days, Athena has pooped, and then ran crying like something just bit her or scared the crud out of her. At first I was worried because I thought maybe it hurt when she pooed. but she doesn't do this all the time when she poo's, just that one or 2 times. well three times now. Well the second time she did it I had my suspicions as to what I thought it was, but wasnt sure. but then tonight she did it and I realized I was right because I was right there when it happen what it is, is that She goes, and for some reason some of it doesnt drop right away, I guess gets stuck on her hair. So she feels this and she gets scared like something is chasing her. she yelps and crys like crazy scaring everyone else half to death. Weird dog....lol.....Its actually funny, but not. I trimmed the hair around there as best I can. |
My Zoey does the same thing. If the poop doesn't drop immediately she yelps like something is killing her. She has a fit if there is any poop stuck on her hair. Silly girl. |
I remember few members here posting similar reactions from their furbutts. I keep both of their butts trimmed so it doesn't really happen. But there were few times when I notice Zoey zooms off and acts as if someone/something's chasing her. LOL |
Yep Gizmo too haha, he runs for his life lol, that's how I always know he needs his sanitary trim :-) |

Stella does it and while I stand there recovering from the scare she starts dragging her butt covered butt against the floor or my couch  |

Well thats not nice. Not pleasant at all. |
How funny! Adie doesn't make a sound she just looks mortified and slinks around with her butt tuck in until someone notices and grabs toilet paper. |

Poor babies being attacked by the poop monster. Sissy just looks at me, then at her butt, then at me, like could you do something about this pleezzzzzze! |
LOL, do you think they can really relay their thoughts that well or are we just so nuts about them that we learn it from them when we don't from other breed? Personally I think they are genetically little humans inside fur coats sometimes. |

I was sure Puff was the only one who has a "poo monster" chasing her! Every night when we are sitting around Puff will come running into the living room and take a flying leap onto my lap, then turn around and put her butt almost in my face! I have to make sure there's nothing there then I tell her the poo monster didn't get her, and she either lies down or goes and finds a toy. She is potty pad trained, but lately it's unusual for her to get the poo on the pad. I was spying on her today (because she won't poo if anybody is looking) and she starts off on the pad but walks around while trying to go and by the time she does go she's off the pad! She has also started doing the same thing with urine--I find little lines of it next to the pad. Puff had terrible trouble with her anal glands when she was a puppy, and they were removed when she turned one. I have always assumed that was the reason she acts so scared of her poo! :( |
