Don't let my babies read this thread. They get Iams daily dental dog food as treats. I do not feed it as their diet so they love it. Just have to remember to take it out of your pockets when you do laundry. They do make a mess on the other clothes in the load..

After waaaaaaaay to much of the "good stuff" ... poor Toto is on a diet and her treats nowadays are Special K! She loves a Special K flake as much as she used to love Yogurt Drops!! Crunch, crunch!! ;)

I make liver treats, they are so very tiny that you can give lots and lots and they will NOT interfer with reggular meals. You can fit about 7 on a dime. I will gladly send you a sample if you are interested.

Cheerios, and fruit loops also make good treats, but I am so stingy and worry so much about treats interferring with meals, I cut cheerios in half!!!! My dogs think I am very stingy! :lol tears but they do eat their meals.

If I remember correctly, some of the people here on YorkieTalk have tried the yogurt drops personally. I dont think I will be that daring :D

Wosie got too itchy on cheerios
 
Dang... I really wanted to treat her with cheerios, and she liked them so much. But then she began itching, and cheerios was the only new diet item. Sure enough, when I cut them, she stopped itching. Darn!!

She gets lamb & rice training bites.

Our girls are at the senior age so they are watching their waistline. :rolleyes:

They have little treats of peas, green beans, diced carrots mostly.
They love them and eat their regular meals too. :)

Good healthy eating habits into their senior years, like their Mom & Dad. :D
Now if I can only teach them to walk the treadmill a little bit each day ! :thumbup:

Treats
 
Mason is allergic to Wheat and grains so he gets Solid gold Lamb lung treats and for a BIG treat he gets a Organic marrow bone like the Big Soup bones. He eats the marrow out of it and we toss it once he is done.

:) Don't feel badly about the size of their Cheerios!! When Toto used to get Honeycomb, we broke them into 4 tiny pieces!! She was so small, our vet said she could have only about 6 whole pieces a day ... we just stretched her portion a little!! ;) BTW .... I have a great little cookbook titled "Barker's Grub" and it has some great, healthy receipes in it!

Shanatink ... my Patrick always tastes Toto's food!! Yep, we both tried the Yogurt Treats [after reading the ingredients] and they are delicious!! ;)

You can always break the milk bones or other hard style treats into little pieces.
