Forgot to say my clients got me some really nice christmas gifts as tips |
I have been using the same groomer for the past 12 yrs and I always tip. |
I don't think you can ever go wrong by tipping, if you're happy with the service. It used to be that if you over tipped anyone in the service industry, you were looked down on (yes, I really am that old!). If you are trying to build a relationship with a groomer, tip. |
Winston goes to the groomer every 2 weeks. I don't tip each visit, I give her a nice bonus at Christmas time, equal to a 20% tip for the year. I feel one lump sum seems like more then a couple dollars each visit and I know how much I appreciated a holiday bonus when I got one. |
A lot of every 2 week clients don't tip. I charge according to job and coming every two weeks generally is less work for me except if dog is a biter or has health issues.i only tip ppl who do beyond a regular expected service. Often it's the little things I appreciate more than a tip... My fave soda. Bottle of cold water or coffe or tea when I come. Baked goods. A small sampling of lunch or dinner. A set of towels for my clients dogs. Just not rumballs when I'm driving! Lost day wages when unrealized had real rum( non drinkers surprise!) |
I'm a groomer. I run a grooming shop out of home only a couple days a week (I also have another full time job). I never expect to be tipped but I do appreciate it when they do. |
