Logan is huge! Logan is 13 weeks old and 3 pounds 6 ounces. He's off the charts (any hart's I've seen anyway) Anyone have any idea how big he might be when he is fully grown? He is a handsome little man and I'll love him big or small but I'm really curious now!! Haha He eats a normal amount of food, we feed him blue buffalo. He gets table scraps some times but not often at all and never anything fattening. He's just a big boy lol. Thoughts? |
Is that really off the charts? I haven't looked in a long time. My Max was 3 pounds and maybe an ounce or two at 13 weeks. He is now 9 pounds. Bigger than standard, but still a small dog, small enough to put in a shoulder carrier. |
He will get as big as he gets. I don't think there is anyway to tell for sure. He may stop growing soon, or maybe just keep growing and grown. My Charlie just kept growing and he's not just over 13 lbs. But I still love him the same. He's still my baby and I wouldn't trade him for anything. Don't stress on it too much. I know I did, but in the end I seen it's all good. :) |
At thirteen weeks, my Keegan was 5 pounds! He was all belly (even without parasites) and huge compared to his three littermates. But his growth slowed and he's now sixteen months old and eleven pounds and very lean. I love his muscular build and solid little trot. :) |
I have a niece with a yorkie that was around that size at the same age and he is now a hearty 13 pounds. He is just so adorable and very spoiled! |
awww! I love it! I know some people desire smaller yorkies, but I would love it if he does turn out to be on the larger side. I have yet to see a growth chart for this breed that exceeds 7lbs- and honestly I could care less about AKC standard when it comes to size. My little man is amazing. His coat seems to be on-point with the "standards" but his little body is huge haha. His weight is pretty evenly distributed too. I was so shocked when I saw that he doubled in size in the few weeks we've had him. He was 1 lbs, 12 oz at 8 weeks old. When I look at growth charts for reference, he shouldn't weigh as much as he does (54 oz) until about 15 weeks. Although he's beyond adorable at his size now, I'd love for him to turn into a little yorkie-tank as long as he stays healthy :) |
It's hard to tell it's more of a wait and see thing. Be careful with table scraps because things like garlic, onion, grapes and stuff are toxic to dogs. |
Yeah we're very careful. He only gets some cooked meat when we have it with dinner. Although he wants to sat everything he smells cooking. Probably my fault lol |
I like a good sized one, Tufty's mum was 71/2 and his dad 41/2 unfortunately he took after his dad |

Me too but I love the little ones ...for my 1st I purposely went into the 6-7 range - she is NOT that weight unfortunately but she is my BABY!! - and my Cheri is a little 6 pounder and really a nice size for cuddling and picking up.... My girls are older now than most peoples yorkies on here - I sure miss posting pictures of them but alas ....I had to move into a place where there is no fenced in yard and they SLAM their eyes shut now when they see this new camera hahaha |
