Sorry for my absence, but I need advice! Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Both of my grandparents passed away of a heart attack three days apart. My grandma was with me on the way to my grandpas funeral and died in my car, so I've had a hard time with it. Priscilla is in heat, and I haven't noticed it. I haven't been making up my bed because I've been working a lot and just haven't had time in the morning. Well today I was making it up and I noticed that there was bloody spots on my expensive down comforter!!! How can I get the stains out. Before anyone says the best way is to get her spayed, I know. I've been putting it off for about a year, because she is so small and I'm worried about it. I don't plan on breeding her just so everyone knows. I'm just worried My beautiful nanny-http://http://www.obitsforlife.com/o...an-Jeannie.php My handsome papaw-http://http://www.obitsforlife.com/o...tman-James.php |
I am sorry for your losses. That was a double blow that no one should have to shoulder! Blood spots usually come out in the wash. Tatiana came in heat and got spots on our sheets. I just washed them in warm water and no more stains. They were pretty light. |
My comforter is white. I put some vinegar on the sports and washed it in warm water. I'm waiting for it to get done so I can see if it came out |
We used to use hydrogen peroxide on our scrubs/uniforms in the hospital to remove blood spatters.....works super! I am so sorry about your grandparents....it wasnt bad enough loosing your grandpa, then to loose your grandma under that circumstance.....really heartbreaking. I am so sorry for you and what you have been thru.....for your grandparents, they are thrilled at being together again...it was obviously tooooo much for your grandma bo face the option of life without grandpa. How long had they been married? A lot of these loving couples just can not go on after they loose their partner...life is reduced to just waiting day in and day out, to be with their partner again....Certainly does not make it any easier for us left behind, and I pray for strength and support for you and the rest of the family...... |
I have heard from a nurse that peroxide works for blood stains or most any stains even on carpets! |
Do not put it in the dryer until you can see the the stains are totally gone. The heat of the dryer will set them in forever... |
They were married for 54 years :) |
1 Attachment(s) My grandma loved when it snows and me and Priscilla took a walk in the snow yesterday :) |
Priscilla is precious! She does look tiny. How old is she? I bet going for a walk in the snow was a comfort and a way to be close to your grandma! ((HUGS)) |
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'd say your grandpa missed your grandma and came to escort her home with him. Peroxide and white vinegar usually work for blood stains. |
She will be turning 3 on June 19th. :) |

I'm sorry about your grandparents. Blood usually comes out with just cold water and some scrubbing. If she's still in heat be very careful walking her, I'd limit her to my yard, non-dog stores, and homes of people without dogs. |
Sorry for your loss. I agree peroxide will take out blood and almost any organic stain. As nurse for many years I really don't want to remember the types of stains I've had to remove. As for spaying your baby Izzy. 3 lbs. She was only 2 1/2 lbs when she was spayed and did fine. Do your research and find a vet experienced with small.yorkies. |
You are in our thoughts and prayers David |
