Oh here comes poop again How come some poop is really dry looking and some is plump and moist? Going thru dog food changes and my oh my what a difference . I took her right off Natures Logic . Is it the moisture content in it? Didn't seem to agree with her either, threw up once and never has before:( Have to look hurry and get to town before next snow storm hits. |
Others will chime in as well but.... It's not always the new food that causes issues.... It's usually just the "CHANGE" in food. Change = poor crap.... sorta like politics. LOL |
There are some theories about this. Lots of ingredients in dog foods aren't easily digested by a dog's system, therefore, some foods come out the other end undigested or partially digested - making the poo voluminous, moist, mushy -- also, dogs can still smell the 'food' in the poo, which is why some dogs eat their own poo. A drier, more crumbly poo is thought to contain just the waste products - hence, it's smaller, drier, doesn't smell like food. In other words, the food itself was better digested. |
Oh my gosh Quote:
THATS very interesting!wowww......although what I thought was good looking poop came from her eating orijen, till she wouldn't eat it anymore. It was the biggest little pile from such a little fur butt! And didn't look like anything undigested in it. ....And ever since she pooped out a nice chunk of tennis shoe sole ( from breeders) I squeeze it before flushing .... I'm just thrown from one extreme to another I guess. |
