nose to the ground All dogs sniff the ground periodically and that is normal, but when i take toby out his nose is GLUED to the ground. He has run into things and fallen off the curb because he doesnt watch where he is going. I know there is a lot of interesting smells for him to breath in, but seriously i think it is a little obsesive  |
It sounds like he is curious about the smells. My mother had a yorkie pom mix who did that because she liked taking in new smells. It caused her to bump into the doors, steps or even the other dogs. Is his hair in his eyes or growing up into them? My mother's dog sparky has hair on his snout that grows into his eyes causing him to not see good unless it is trimmed. I hope this helps. :c) |

That is too cute...lol. He sounds like an interresting and cute baby! |
Smelling Yorkies were bred to be hunting dogs... Funny I know... But seriously, they were. They have a wonderful sense of smell, and their teeth are extremely sharp, and they are small. Therefore they could be sent down a rabbit hole to kill the rabbit and bring it back. Its hard to imagine our babies doing that isn't it! :rofl28ib: Parker is always smelling... even in the house! And he terrorizes the cat too! Just some information that I found interesting and thought I'd share! |
Miss Mini could be a Hoover or a Kirby maybe even a Dyson ..shes such a nosie girl all the time scouting the floors. It is funny Deb |

Not only does my yorkie sniff, my maltese does too  I just have to watch and make sure its not poop they're smelling. Sassy has been known to be a poopy eater. |
Both of my little girls Chloe and Daisy are little sniffers its so cute when the go in the kitchen and they sniff around almost always I can tell bc they will have little crumbs left on their noses. And when I have company and they see the girls sniffing like that my company is constantly saying, "Heather I think that your dogs are looking for a place to go potty!" I always have to tell them no they are just nosy!! |
