Only at night? Every once in a while Joel has these episodes of swallowing a lot, but it's only at night. What could it be and why only at night? He's doing it now and hasn't went to sleep yet because it's annoying him. I feel bad and can't sleep when he can't:( |
Poor thing, he was swallowing so much he made a huge burp from all the air in his tummy:( So I told my mom and she said to give him diluted apple cider vinegar and after googling it first of course:p I gave him a few drops on my finger (even though he wanted nothing to do with it) and he instantly stopped swallowing! Finally at 3:30am he was able to pass out:D Also I read about giving dogs apple cider vinegar and it looks super healthy for them:) Apple Cider Vinegar - A Holistic Remedy for Dogs - Whole Dog Journal Article |
Hmmmm....this makes me wonder if he's having reflux. Dogs will often swallow hard and repeatedly, and lick their mouths when having reflux. The reason it can happen at night is that it's after dinner time, and if he's laying down it makes reflux that much easy to occur. |
I thought of that too, but the strange thing is he doesn't eat late and he's laying down in the daytime often. |
