Does your yorkie huff and sneeze at you if you are ignoring them? Sometimes when Wallee brings a toy that he wants thrown and he is not being acknowledged he will huff then sneeze. I have teased him sneezing back and he will return the sneeze. He will do this 2 or three times before getting really mad and barking. |
Tibbe snorts if I ignore. He also growls and grouses and gets right in my face if I ignore him too long. Ignoring a Yorkie is an unforgivable sin to them! |

Yep. Sounds all too familiar! |
Lola mostly growls and grumbles. If that doesn't work she barks. My poodle used to sneeze if she was insulted. "You're such a punk!" *sneeze* |
My Yorkie doesn't, but my Shih Tzu does |
Lollie is usually in one of the heated beds OR she is woofing at me to throw her toy. Lacie has an "oof" that sounds like something between a bark and a cough. The three pups are much less discrete. The bark and yap at me and if that doesn't work they aren't opposed to pulling at my pants leg or jumping up on my leg and digging like they are trying to make it to China. Love them all, but sometimes...... |
These are all cute. Love Wallee's return sneeze volley. :D Max has all kinds of interesting noises to get our attention if we fail to see him sitting politely for what he wants. He is like Astro, Scooby Doo, and Chewbacca rolled into one. My favorite is when he resorts to softly saying "woof" like a human. |
If I leave Jenna anywhere (bedroom, chair in the front room, etc.) and don't return for her promptly, even if it seems like she's happily snoozing I will soon hear what we call the 'dreaded ear flappy'...then a solid sneeze or two...then the feet (toenails) ticking on the floor as she bolts out looking for me. She also does the digging on my leg at a furious pace, which can get uncomfortable if I haven't trimmed her claws lately. 0_0 What's even more endearing (but in a sad way) is the 'squee' she will do when I've got to go out and leave her with my daughter, and then the all out whine that I get greeted with on my return. Breaks my heart every time. |
cheester will do the sneeze stuff, its to funny |
Oh yes. Sneezes and huffs abound daily! |
Cookie gets hopping mad; e.g., she will jump up on two legs over and over and bark and/or growl until I either throw her toy or spin her food bowl, depending on if she wants to play or eat. |
My last little girl did the sneeze thing, which was so funny then all her hair ended up in her face so she got the attention! Zoey is a polite little thing and sits pretty , head cocked patiently waiting attention...then if you don't come to play she will softly "erf" , then take off to her baby toy on the floor and walk on it and it starts off saying " Let's Play!" And goes thru the abc's. When YOU appear to see what's going on, she is waiting and watching and LEAPs in the air and runs for the ball before you can get away...lol! |
Teddy totally sneezes at me when he answers me or if he wants my attention. |
Yeah I guess you could call it a sneeze/cough. But Winston does it very quietly at first...but the longer he's ignored, the louder he gets. Then, if still not acknowledged...he'll toss his toy at you. Hubby and I just giggle...and ask him what do you want? lol...poor mistreated dog. |
Huffs and snorts, then huffs and sneezes, then adds stamping their front feet, and when all else fails, barking starts! |
Chili will huff and then kick out his back right leg and do this strange little hop to the left if he isn't getting the attention he wants. It's so funny. I keep meaning to get it on video. |
Jasmine, our 5 yr old yorkie, wasn't born with an ounce of patient. When she wants something....well, it should have happened yesterday according to Mzzzz Diva Deluzzze. She will give you the 2 second stare (if she fills generous that day) and then she ramps immediately into her paw stomping, piggy snorting, hobo fit throwing drama role. She really should get a Grammy award for the energy and effort she puts forth. Needless to say Jasmine gets attention pretty quick around here.....her "piggy fits" are not a pretty sight. Then there is Maggie, 2 year old (my heart baby) yorkie, she is my ball of energy love bug. She loves me, (totally) kissing me on my face so sweetly and then the next second turning around too quick......yep, you know it....her butt now right in my face. When she wants my attention she will jump on my lap and stare and if that doesn't work....then straight up to my face and her tongue shoots right up my nose before I can blink. Now my eyes are watering, I am gagging and sputtering and you guessed it....she has turned around again.....her butt in my face. Blah!! So, with Maggie I have to be on toes unless I want my nose cleaned out with her Serpent tongue or her infamous butt-face game. NOT fun! Ornery girl. Prissy, 11 yr. toy poodle, is a very polite little girl. When she wants your attention or needs something she will just come to you, sit down daintily and just stares. Prissy has never thrown a hobo fit, made piggy snorts, stuck her toosh in my face or lavaged my nose.......Prissy is very patient and doesn't mind waiting at all, such a sweet little girl.......hmmm.....but she does eat SNOTTY used tissues.......EEEWWWW!!!! Oh the life of a dog. |
No huffing or sneezing.......just a low in the throat growl. |
My Beau and Birdie both do that! If they need to go out to potty or they want us to throw their ball, they do the fake sneeze or huffs to get our attention! I was wondering if it was a yorkie thing too. |
