Can't buy acana puppy in US? Does anyone else feed their puppy the puppy formula? How do I get it? I looked online , only sold in Canada, wonder why? |
If you google it, it looks like you can buy it online. It looks pricey, but it's given the highest rating by dogfoodadvisor.com. |
The only Acana's available in the US are : Grain-Frees (Wild Prairie, Grasslands, Ranchlands, and Pacifica) and the Singles line (Duck/Pear and Lamb/Apple), and then the Chicken & Burbank Potato. I think the reason is because of the milk thistle in the other foods, I dunno if that's still the case? But in the US, it's only approved as a supplement and not IN the food or something stupid like that. |
Nope Called their customer service and they said the demand isn't high enough in US to sell the puppy formula here. That surprises me. She said just feed the puppies more to meet the protein requirements and less when they get older ?!?! Also surprising is dog food advisor recommendations are 5 Star EXCEPT the lamb and duck because they contain so much water , once it's reduced it takes the meat index down and protein %. Wowwwww. Anyone hear of Pioneer Naturals? Dog advisor likes it! |
