Apparently Britney Spears is looking at a Yorkie pup... (article inside) Article Link Here I have a really bad feeling about this. It seems that Britney and her boyfriend went over to Star Yorkie in Vegas to look at a "Micro Diamond Yorkie" that supposedly "will never weigh more than 2 pounds"... Disgusting. The puppy pictured in the article even LOOKS unhealthy! According to the review some Yorkietalkers did on Star Yorkie over on this thread, it appears that Star Yorkie was all but proven to be an untruthful puppy broker who sells unhealthy and imported puppies. I truly hope that this purchase doesn't actually happen because if it does, I feel that this puppy broker will get even more sales and recognition due to a celebrity having one of their pups. In addition, the extra attention towards the breed could cause even more irresponsible breeders to breed more Yorkshire Terriers because there will likely be a spike in demand for the pups (especially "tcup" ones) if a Yorkie is seen with a celebrity all the time. What do you all think? I got pretty alarmed when reading this article, so I just thought I'd share it and my thoughts. |
Well, I would doubt the validity of something like this from E. They're known to fluff their stories to get more interest. I know Britney has had yorkies for years, so while I can't say for sure she'd go to a reputable breeder, I have a hard time believing she'd go to/advertise a broker in any way. I'm going to really hope that maybe E! is making the name of the place up to make a story out of it. |
There's a place near here that sells those types of puppies and even claims to have sold to several celebrities. The prices are outrageous!!! |

Left side towards the bottom What you're looking at for the 5 day health and no size guarantee isn't an available option at this time. For $125,000 you get a lifetime pet replacement and a size guarantee. For $100,000.00 you get a 30 day standard agreement and a size guarantee. |
That is just sick. I do not understand why people pay so much for a unhealthy dog. Every time someone sees Galen they say I want one just like him . . .small . . . I tell them no you don't. I tell them about food issues, he not wanting to eat and you have to make sure they do. Potty training issues still not totally potty trained. No jumping up or down on the couch. Don't allow people to handle him. Stairs going down are a problem. . . . The list goes on. Their eyes get really big . . . I tell them get a standard size and go to a reputable breeder. You can still carry them around. |
It says she gets all of her yorkies there~~:thumbdown:thumbdown Look on the bright side, at least she will be able to afford all of vet bills incurred from the health problems this dog will have from being purposely bred to be a micro diamond mini teacup :rolleyes: |

What happened to the baby yorkie she hauled around all hours of the night when she was going through her break down? That poor baby was outside at 4am with her sitting on the curb. Also, she gets all her yorkies from this place??? Just how many has she gone through. Animal control should never let her had a dog. |
I know she has one now, it has a Twitter account with a lot of followers. It's name is Hannah (admitting I have looked at Hannah's tweets). |

Deal? Oh, and I have decided I am going to Pennsylvania for a year, and staying with an Amish person so I learn quilting from them and charge even more for my quilts, so if we add gems, the prices will be very high and we might be able to retire and live on a beach somewhere and have guys in bikinis bring us umbrella drinks. |
