How sensitive are our babies ears? My brother in law had a stroke on Christmas day. Since he was released from the hospital he has been staying with us. He is almost deaf and when he watches tv it is very loud! I don't say anything to him since his stroke left his ability to read very limited (close caption). Well, since he has been here Gunner is afraid to come into the living room, he seems frightened by the noise. Can loud noises hurt them? Poor guy, I had to move all his toys and his bed to the kitchen, but I sure miss him on my lap loving me up. He will be here till Thursday, then he goes to stay with his sister for a while. Should I stuff cotton or something into Gunners ears. |
I'm sure he is sensitive to the sound but I don't think putting things in his ears is a good idea. Could you take him in another room and sit and play and do stuff with him? |
I don't think the loud tv will physically hurt him, but it is probably uncomfortable since dogs have better hearing than most humans. It's probably frightening to Gunner. I would just keep Gunner in the other room while your BIL is staying with you. Best wishes for your BIL. |

My great grandmom has the as seen on tv sound amplifier thing, it looks like a blue tooth headset. She's had it for years and really likes it. There's also a way to plug headphones into the TV but I'm not sure what it involves. |
