New puppy bonding.. In a large household? Hello, so my puppy is 9 weeks old (almost 10) and so far I've had her for about 2 weeks. I have been doing the main caregiving like feeding, cleaning up the poop, playing with her, etc. However, I have a large household and everyone obviously wants to hold her has well and play with her. How do I make my new puppy bond to me as the primary caregiver rather than everyone else? I feel as if she won't bond to me if she sees so many people and if she gets fed once in a while not by me. Opinions? |

Very few things build A bond better than training. Don't look at training as all about discipline, instead look at training as a fun thing to do with your dog. Sit stay come down stop leave it. Are all basic commands that every dog should know. You tube has great videos on trick training as well. So if once in awhile others hold her, walk her and or feed her, it should not interfere with your relationship with her. |
I have 5 kids but I'm the one who is home with Lilah during the day, the person who mainly feeds her (occasionally my daughter will), I take her out to potty etc. She loves all of us and gets a wiggly butt as soon as any of the kids walk into the room, but she's still a little more attached to me |
