Sally, I am sorry to hear that the weather made a miserable mess of the holiday. Praying you have your power and that you, Andy, and Harry are well. |
Sally sorry to hear the weather is being so dreadful for you. Hope all is back to normal again real soon. Hugs to you and your family. |
So sorry to hear about your terrible weather. Wish I could send you a bit of ours, as it is a bit too warm with plenty to share. Hope better days are coming for you soon. |
Sally, I hope your power is back on by now. What a dreary way to spend Christmas! I pray that y'all are keeping warm & dry! :holiday2: |
Sally, OMG...I am just now seeing this. I am so sorry. I myself have been suffering breathing troubles for a month or three, which worsened dramatically on Christmas Eve so I was quite ill all through Christmas and continuing although I do think it is getting slowly better. So I have been seriously out of touch with everyone and everything, and not even aware of the weather troubles on your side of the pond. I hope things are better now, I have to go and look at what happened over there. Gosh, I am so sorry to hear that Christmas was ruined for so many, who couldn't even cook their dinner. Lots of HUGS, dear friend! I will be thinking of you. |
:) Thank you all so very, very much for your kind thoughts and words - they mean a lot to us. We have been relatively lucky in Chessington, as we're on top of a slight hill - so no flooding for us personally, just intermittent power cuts woo hoo!!! :D The Burford Bridge Hotel that we went to at Christmas a couple of years ago is currently trying to catch it's furniture as it floats along the base of Box Hill....;( Nothing major structurally for us - just quite a few roof tiles ripped off and water coming through the bathroom ceiling where there's now a hole in the roof....:( Oh the joy of it all!!! Insurance Company - here I come....!!! :D Oh and Cat - I truly hope you feel a lot better REALLY soon, and sorry to hear that you've been feeling so rubbishy over what should be a wonderful, happy time x Love and hugs from the 3 of us xxx |
You, Andy, and Harry need to come to Kajiland. We've been having spring weather for most of the month. You're more than welcome to come wait out the storm over here. |
:D Ohhhh, if only.....!!! Thing is, it's not even cold here (thank goodness!!) - just totally wet and wild. Yuck! :D Sally + Soggy Family xxx |
I might need you to send me some of that weather. We're getting a little dry over here! I was looking forward to not having to water my lawn and letting the rain do it. No luck there! |
:) I'll go outside and really, really blow.....:D x |
You are sooo funny, Sally...even in the face of adversity! Thank you for the well wishes. I went and looked at what was happening...OMG!!! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...storms-2956644 Those poor people...and the damage...and the prediction was for MOST of England. I hope all are able to get things settled quickly. That was quite a mess. |

Hope things continue to get better for you. That is not the way one would hope to get a sky-light in one's bathroom:D I have family in Kent but have not heard how they are doing. My family from Crawley is here in the States visiting, and the York relatives report they are doing well. Not having electricity is the worst thing - could more easily do without other amenities. Hugs and best wishes! Hopefully the best part of Christmas is what is in the heart. |
