I want another fur-baby! NO way on this green earth would DH let me actually get one... but I have puppy envy. I want a little girl SO much! I don't know why, my boys need a TON of attention and I don't have enough hands for a 3rd, but I'd make lap room and bed room and definitely room in my heart for a little girl! I miss having a puppy! I can't actually get one anyways, we have a camp and we are only allowed 2 dogs on our site, but ohhhh the pics of all the super cute little puppies makes me want another one so much! :D |
Story of my life! I have 2 boys and I have been wanting to add a girl to our pack. Whenever I see all these cute puppies I want. Then I realize that 2 is already a handful. :( |
I so understand this post!!!!! I find myself looking through all the cute puppy pictures thinking oooh, if I just had one more. |
Those sweet little precious faces! Last night laying on the couch, Dexter under a blanket next to my legs, Fletch laying in my arms, all warm and snuggly... was thinking "ohhh whats 1 more?" LOL I know DH would probably move out! Poor guy gets NO attention with the boys around! Was thinking well if he had a little girl that bonded to him, then he might be ok with everything! HAHAH |
I only have 2 also. I'm probably fortunate my community allows only 2 dogs per household or I'd have a pack of them! |

LOL Thats what I hear, the girls really love their daddys and the boys are just crazy about their mommies! We have a camp though, and they only allow 2 dogs per site.... so we really can't get a third one. Plus it IS a lot of work. I don't mean walks and feeding and stuff... I mean attention! My boys are VERY VERY VERY spoiled and demanding of my time and attention. Its hard on me sometimes, I can't imagine a third. But oohhh those sweet faces, I want to pick up and kiss all of them! :) |
I too would love a little girl, but couldn't handle 3 dogs on a walk. Two is my limit for everything. I have come to terms with the fact that my whole world is ruled by boys, boys, boys. :D I have brothers, nephews, boy dogs. My SIL and I are the only girls. |
I am glad I'm not the only one! I look for puppies on puppyfind.com almost daily, hoping if the right one comes along, I will know it, like there will be a sign or something! Lol! I want so badly for a little boy for Chloe to play with. I keep telling myself that this is not the right time... I am a teacher and got Chloe last summer on the first day of break. I may try to find a little boy this summer, but want one NOW! I tell myself it is 5 more months for her to get used to being the only dog in the house and maybe now is better (see, trying to justify my desire for a puppy now instead of later!), but whats 5 months, right! Patience has never been a strength of mine... |
I got three pups this year to add to my 8 year old! The two male puppies Barkley 14mos and Bentley 10 mos pick on my little Bailey (14mos) Boo! My first ever female was Chloe 18 years ago. I also wanted a girlie girl! She was a tom boy all the way! Bailey is more girlie than the first but the boys pull her ribbons out of her hair! So I have to watch them! All three of my pups are from Desert Rose Yorkies! The first two I had shipped to me but the third, I flew 5,000 miles in two days from Philadelphia to Boise to pick up my third! What a trip! But love my puppies! |
morgan is getting a brother from green treasured yorkies in the spring |
I totally get this! I have two and could NOT get a third, but I love looking at puppies and searching for dogs at rescues. Have you thought about fostering? I have fostered dogs (usually adults, but you could foster puppies too) and there isn't the same forever commitment that you would have with adopting a pup. I love fostering. You get to help out and enjoy the presence of a third, but not commit to forever. |

This is how I was with kids….which is why I ended up having 5 :D Actually I had 2 boys, adopted a girl, then had 2 more boys. I'm thoroughly enjoying having a girl puppy…..we needed another female in this house lol |
I am really debating adding another lady to our home in late winter/ early spring. Lilah just had her first birthday and it was very important to me that we establish our relationship and expectations very thoroughly before I consider adding another pup- I think she would love it. She has a large caring human family and we have some play dates but she has a lot of energy that she would like to share with another little dog her size, someone who really understands her...or at least I think so. I am under the impression we live near deb sillers and I have heard really great things about her yorkies- I was just looking through lilah's baby photo cd that came from her breeder ( a very sweet woman, lilah came from her very last litter; retired) I would love to foster in the future when my girls (see? I'm already imagining I have two...) are older and my children are moved out of the house, for now though my capacity extends to long term relationships. I love having girls though, they have a full closet and lovely dresses and are just too much fun! Need more girl power to balance out my house full of boys :) |
