yorkie is steroid active! my yorkie seems to be on steroid constantly, except when he was on our bed... he jumps and run everywhere.. i have never seen him walk for more than 2 meters... i have seen him did a hidden dragon coaching tiger stun before... he jumps onto the wall, four feet on the wall and bounce off to the floor to escape my westie chasing him... are yours as active? |
Mine is very sedate around the house. I sometimes wish he had a little more spunk at times but he is old. Mine may run to his bowl when I approach the kitchen. I try to walk mine daily for 3 miles. He does quite well for an old guy, off leash, either in front or behind me. When/if he tires, I carry him for a bit then set him down. It seems to recharge his batteries. |
Sounds like he needs another trip to the beach! LOL:) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...ml#post4358317  |
My girl has always been very active but not to the point you describe. Were his parents like this? They inherit their temperament from the parents. Hopefully he just needs more exercise. Take him on several brisk walks a day. A tired puppy is a calm puppy. Small dogs do need actual exercise. Just because they are small does not mean they don't need some good work outs everyday. |
Up until about 7 months Sophie was on spin cycle! I thought I was going to die keeping up with her. At 9 1/2 months now she is pretty layed back. We have been soooo blessed to have a dog like Sophie. I have never before owned such a sweet little girl. |
Tufty is the duracell bunny and Teegy would love to just cuddle into me |
Mine is very active also. I take her for long walks and when it is nice outside we go and play at the dog park for hours. You have to exercise your baby more so it's not bouncing off the walls. Good luck, mine is almost 3 and has not slowed down much :D |
Galen never stops unless in his crate. I wish I had half the energy he has lol |
