Good Christmas Cookie Recipes?? So...I have almost as many dogs to holiday shop for as I do humans and I was thinking that perhaps I should do some holiday baking for the dogs, just like I do the humans. It would be cute to add some goodies to their gift bags. Does anyone have any cute Christmas recipes or any cute ideas of how to decorate the x-mas cookies?? I was thinking of using a christmas tree cookie cutter instead of a dog bone but I know I can't use frosting or sprinkles like I would on human sugar cookies. BTW...this would be my first attempt at making homemade dog biscuits. Also...does anyone know how long the biscuits generally stay good for?? |
I made Leo's cookies (carrot and cream cheese) it's on the 1st page of the homecooking thread in the health and diet section. I also made salmon doggy crack (that's what the person called them, google it). The salmon cookies aren't cute but Lola is growling at me to give her more. You can make a yogurt icing for cookies, a local petstore sells decorated cookies but I don't know how to make it. |

Thanks...the local animal shelter was having an adoption event today and I went in and bought a few bags of homemade treats for the boys!! I still want to try my hand at baking for them though!! |
