I take Dixie in the shower with me. It's easier, less messy, and quicker than giving her a bath. My husband thinks I'm a sick individual for doing this and it really grosses him out! :D Over Christmas his mother & I were having a conversation about the dogs she used to have and she told me that she used to bring her dogs in the shower with her! How funny is that?!! If he only knew that his mother showered with her dogs! :lol tears |
LoVeS sHoWeRs Chloe absolutely loves showers and baths. Anytime my boyfriend or I turn on the water she gets very excited and starts jumping like a spring to get in and barking. I shower with her about twice a week and bathe with her about once a month. She is definitely a water dog. She loves to swim, bathe, shower, attack sprinklers, chase any form of water, Climb up our waterfall. The great thing is that she will not get near water unless I am around. She knows that the blow dry awaits... she loves to roll around on the towel while i blow dry her then she sits perfectly still with her chin up so I can brush her out. |

Never tried giving Gracie or Hallee a shower. The love to take a bath, but hate the blow drying. Heather |
Add me to the wierdo list. :D Gracie is much easier to deal with in the shower. I've tried to kitchen sink, bathtub, and a plastic tub. Water is everywhere if we don't take a shower. She's just itching to get out of the sink or tub. |

I bathe mine in the sink or bath tub, never tried the shower. Bella's fine with the nozzle of water running over her, never tried the sprayer part. At Tropic Waters (pet store in town) they have this dog washer thing that looks like a washer machine. And it's pretty much a huge shower. I could see my lab busting right out of there. It seems sorta mean. |
Mine get tub baths and they really don't mind it too much. I never thought about a shower, but I mmight give it a try. |
Izzie gets both a bath and shower....Normally Sundays are her day in the kitchen sink for the full shampoo/conditioner, etc. Then maybe once or twice a week she hits the shower (rain closet as I call it :p ) just to wet down and cool off a bit.....She's not completely 100% water dog yet, but I'm working on it !!!!! |
Definetly the bath. The shower noise makes them crazy. |
