Ideas for teething puppy? We've had our puppy for about a week now, and her bottom teeth are not coming through very well. Her top teeth are busting through and she is in need of something to help her handle the new teeth emerging. We got her a kong and put it in the freezer, but we're looking for some other options that will help her out! Thanks guys! |
Ours always liked the rope toys. They massage the gums but are soft. You can also soak the ropes in water and freeze them to give some relief as well. And sometimes when they are loosing their baby teeth you can find them in the rope. My husband found like 5 from our Yorkie and he has them as souvenirs :) |
I've used everything for mr Gizmo who is six months old. He's teething super badly right now :-) one easy thing is getting a washcloth wet and twisting it up so its like a long tube, then freezing it :-) he loves those as well as his ice chips I give him every day after his walks. I also get pumpkin/sweet potato teething rings from N-bone, I give him like a 1/4 of one at a time. He also loves his rope toys with the knots on the ends and teethers in the middle. He pretty much has loved everything but the nylabones, which I didn't really mind because I have heard bad things about them since. These are just a few things he loves :-) |
We use fleece strips cut from clothing, blankets, or a small piece from the fabric store. Tie, braid or weave a few strips together, knotting the ends. You can dampen and freeze them- also easy to wash with other puppy laundry-hang to dry. We also have lots of cloth infant teething toys that hold up well and wash well also- we buy them at yard and church sales for very little money! |
