Try contacting Chris' Rescue Angels. They have a rep that lives Mo, close to St. Louis I believe.

Here is the web site. After you bring up the site, look to the left hand side menu, you will see Surrender A Dog, click on that and fill out the info and submit it. They should have someone contact you in regards to this.

Well as a last resort you can donate it to petsmart or a store like that but only as a last resort. Also, I'm new here how do I look at my post from earlier today? I want to check the answers, also good luck!

[SIZE="3"]RXCUSE ME, I have no idea where you got the idea that you can donate a dog to Petsmart or a Pet Shop. This is the last place you need to do that at. There are REPUTABLE RESCUE GROUPS that can help.

Please do this....either of these rescues will take care of all of her medical needs prior to looking for a new home for her. We also do very careful screening of adopters....you don't want to just assume that someone on an online forum is legitimate. If you decide to place her yourself, PLEASE check with the people's vet for a reference. You also should visit the home to be sure it is a safe place for your pup.

If there is no way that u can keep ur baby then please be very careful where u place this little one as u wud not forgive ur self if anything happened or was not looked after right, please don't even think about petsmart or shops that's a horrendous thought:confused:. Can any of ur family help? Ladyjane is the angel u need to speak to, as she will guide u the right way .

This is the answer to your problem! This is in the best interest of your precious little girl and you have certainly made this very difficult decision to let your baby go, so you clearly want what is best for your baby girl....There are cruel, dispicable people with horrible intentions out there that would jump on the opportunity to snatch this precious little girl up and pimp her out until they either kill her or she dies from her illnesses....dont let this baby go to an individual....let her go to a reputable rescue...they will get her medically stable and then they will scrutinize carefully anyone they let her go to a forever home with. Besdies, you dont want strangers prowling around your property, hoping to score on a Yorkie that in their minds is nothing but an ATM machine......I am so sorry you are not able to keep your baby girl, but you have recognized the situation you have and you are doing your best to deal with it.....wishing you and your family a kinder, gentler future.

I would go with this advice. Please don't surrender her to HS though. I don't think they would be able to care for her since she has special needs. Praying all turns out well for her.

honestly if we could get the medical needs taken care of we would be able to keep her. That's the issue. many of you probably do not share our priorities and would pay any amount to keep your dog. I appreciate you all trying to steer is clear of money makers...but honestly she cant make anyone money. she is spayed and will likley lose all of her theeth. We won't just give our pup to just anyone. please continue to share oiur story in hopes that we can find Bailey a good home.

I don't think rescues help with vet bills, any close family members that could assist with help for her care? If your priorities aren't spending $ for vet care, rescue is definitely the best option.

Unfortunately, pet insurance Companies will not pay for preexisting conditions. I know a care credit card would just be putting off the inevitable as well as adding interest. I hate that vet bills are gonna make you lose this baby. Other than having gotten insurance prior to this (wouldda, shouldda, couldda) I really can't think of any options other than a family member gifting some care $ for Christmas? Could you ask family to not give gifts but donate to this cause for Christmas? 'Tis the season...:questione

I am not trying to steer you away from money makers. I am trying to help you keep that poor baby out of the hands of someone who will not properly vet her or someplace really horrible. If you just give her to someone and you don't do a thorough vet check and other checks, she could end up as a bait dog for fighting rings. There are many evil people on the internet.

I was thinking about the bait-dog thing too. Once you give the dog up you don't know what her fate is. I hope you can come up with some way to keep her. She is a little doll and already established in your home. I feel so sad that you are having all the vet bills. Maybe you could talk the vet into giving you some special rates. It's Christmas and it would be so sad to lose your little baby at this time. I wish you the best.

Have you asked if the dental and bladder things could be done at the same time? It might be much cheaper because she'd only need anastesia once.
