What pup does in your absence Ever wonder what your dog(s) do when you're gone? Well, before I got my little love, I ordered a camera to spy on him. I'm wondering, does anyone else have one of these? I get a live feed to his confinement area and can hear him and speak to him through the camera's phone app. The app alerts me of sounds and movements when I don't have it open so that I can play the recorded video at that section. It was sad to see him crying and pacing while I was at work but I was delighted to have video of what he does when he thinks nobody is watching. |
I have always wanted to watch my two interact while we aren't around. I know that for the most part, they sleep. Since getting my 2nd pup, there seems to be no separation anxiety at all from either of them, so they prob just play and sleep  |
I have only left him alone once so far and there isn't much trouble he can get into in the bathroom (where I keep him confined when he isn't in x-pen or privy to free reign). I am not sure if my voice without my presence is comforting or confusing to him but I like watching him. :) |
My boys are rarely alone, but I used my computer to video them when I had to leave them. They laid in their beds by the door the whole time. Teddy sighed a lot like he was saying, "When is she coming back?" :) When Max was a pup, I left him in my bedroom once for an hour. I found him running around with his piddle pad, having a great time.:D If I worked outside my home, I would love to have a camera setup like you have. |
I have had to leave my girls at times. Even with someone else home, Tatiana cries, howls and shakes....a nervous wreck, until I walk back in that door! Both are just yipping and jumping all over me when I return. It would make me feel even worse to "watch" them in such distress! |
We have security cameras and I often watch them to see what they're doing. Mostly they sleep. |
I have really wanted to get a web cam to watch Huey when we aren't home, especially since we had to go out of town recently when he wasn't well. I was a nervous wreck, and I think if I could have seen him, I would have felt much better, since we left our engagement early to go home and check on him and he had recovered completely and was fine when we got home. |
no more spying for me My 6 year old Cavalier has horrible separation anxiety and I've always hated leaving him. My husband bought me a spy camera last year in the hopes that I would be more willing to leave my little guy. Unfortunately, it backfired. I was able to see that my poor little man was as miserable as i imagined! All he did the whole time we were gone is cry and lay on our stairs so he could see the driveway. |
I have a Mirror at floor level, and they practice their Poker Faces and wait on me to get there. (they have difficulty dealing or they'd start without me) :D |
We just got a camera a few months back - and our pups also mostly sleep. Occasionally, they will get up to move positions or get a drink of water, then it's back to "zzzzz"s again. |
