WOW!!!!! That's absolutely amazing!!! My Dolly might have a heart attack just watching your Lola!!! (Don't know about Teena, she's never been around water, but nothing scares her.) |
Wow, Lola, you are a turbo Diva that can really do her stuff! Super! |
She's amazing!!!!! |
Adorable Lola is precious . I can see why she was such a crowd pleaser. She is so brave. I can't see my two doing that. But it looks like fun. |
That is awesome! Heidi would never do that in a million years. I love it. And she is adorable on top of it all. |
Yay, Lola! What a spirited little girl! |
dog I am sitting here in awe of your Yorkie! She is amazing. She has such a spirit about her and seems to love that jumping. What a great dog you have! |
thank you guys for watching and making all those nice comments, Lola is blushing. She is little trouper that's for sure. Her first dive on the second day was by far her furthest dive, but it was practice and no one got a photo of it. We did a running start, which meant my husband held on to her on the back end of the platform and I was at the waters edge squeaking and teasing her with the toy, on the count of three he released her and I threw the toy, she flew down the dock and into the water and got almost 8 feet. But when it was her turn to dive she ran up and then stopped looking down for the toy. My husband said she now knew the water was wet and cold. However each time it was her turn she would dive in, which I can't say all dogs did, she often followed a Rottie who would only go in the water half the time so the crowd really got a kick out of Lola after that. My husband cracked me up because after grumbling about going he really got into it. He was so bummed that she did not do the running start in the heats, he told anyone that would listen about how far she went in practice, and LOL I swear it grew a foot each time he told it. I am just sorry I did not get a shot of her in Beach robe that has her name on the back, she wore that in between each heat. I will say she was the only one that came with multiple outfits, life vest, monogramed bath robe, monogrammed towels, hair dryer, grooming tools and a stroller, that's why I call her my diving diva. I felt like it took me forever to get out of the house |
I loved it! Great job! |

Lola is awesome! Love her tail with hair flying in the first jump. Beautiful photos. I love that such a beautiful girl is also athletic. :) |
That is WONDERFUL! When I saw the pictures of her standing at the edge of the dock, I honestly figured she'd probably make the 1-foot mark, maybe the 2-foot mark if it was high enough. And I would have been impressed with that. When the pictures showed her sailing beyond that, I was thinking you must have photoshopped it! That's incredible, especially after reading of her warm-up jump. Love the description of how her talent won your husband over! That's exactly why I love Yorkies. They can look like a Diva and still be a world-class athlete. Thanks for sharing. Next time, you'll have to get a video too! (But the pictures were awesome!) |
Lola is awesome, such a good diver. Congrats Lola, you are the example of why no one should ever call our Yorkie's "purse pups" you have a job with your diving and you do it well. Donna, can I have permission to share this on my Facebook? I of course will give you credit but I would love for my animal loving friends to see Lola. |

Kristen and Mike and everyone else thanks for saying such nice things, I was reading all the latest comments to my husband, and he was beaming like a proud papa. My husband is not the chatty type and easily gets bored with my YT stories but last night he was over my shoulder looking at all the comments. |
