A friend for Joey Hi everyone. My precious little Joey needs a play mate. We previously lived in a granny flat where the owners of the main house had 3 jack russels who Joey loved playing with. We have now moved and I think he is very lonely. We are looking into getting him a friend but want to make sure if we don't get another Yorkie that we choose the best match for him. Joey is not fussy at all; loves all dogs - big or small! So I am more concerned about what the new one likes so need to know which dogs enjoy Mini Yorkies (besides the jack russels) Please help :) |
Why not another yorkie lol as they are around the same size and zoom about everywhere together and u wud not worry about any of them hurting each other :) I've 3 yorkies 2 x5lb and a 20lb yes gino is a teapot but very gentle with the tinies lol and a 50lb gsd I've to watch him very closely with the yorkies as he is still a big pup at 1yrs old and he thinks he is a tiny lol a full house but I love it good luck on what u pick |
U cud also go to the dog shelters and bring ur little one and see if there is anyone he gets on with u wud be saving a life at the same time , just another idea to think about :D |
I don't think the breed really matters. Like humans, dogs have their own personalities. If you're looking to bring in a puppy, I don't think it's too big of a deal as s/he'll grow into your pack. But if you're looking to bring in an adult playmate, then best thing to do is do a meet/greet on neutral ground. Then perhaps another meet at your home as dogs can get territorial when they're in their home. :) Good luck! |
