Found Lost Yorkie @ Montgomery County, MD Humane Society 1 Attachment(s) |
Poor little baby. |
Hope this little guy finds his way home or gets a perfect new home. |
I hope this little one has a nice warm bed soon |
I hope his owners are looking for him and find him soon!! |
I was trying to find update on him but didn't see anything... Anyone know if his owners showed up? I don't see him on the Montgomery County Shelter listing. He looks so well groomed and everything. I'm really surprised he didn't have a chip. I hate looking at these shelter sites... Makes me feel bad that I can't help all of them. *sigh* |
Update UPDATE on Montgomery County MD FB page: "Lost Pets Chip traces to puppy mill breeder who says this is a PB Yorkie (17 pounds). No owner but she'll get a good home." Puppy Mill breeder has no record of who bought the puppy?????? At least it is no longer in a shelter. Sounds like the breeder is trying to resell the dog to me. How could they have it chipped and no record of who bought it? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater |
Wait....did the puppy mill breeder pick her back up then??? |
Sounds very "fishy" to me! How could this be a good pup which they "sold", and yet they have No record of the sale? This does not sound at all true or "on the up and up". I would get the local dog warden involved. You say there were no ads for a missing dog in that area and yet they say it is their "missing dog". Is there proof of their ownership, any Tags, and why were they not contacting local shelters to help find her. If the dog is from a puppy mill, which are illegal in some regions, the SPCA could take her away from the puppy mill, and she would be put up for adoption if spayed. |
Now that I think about it just because the Humane Society posted they traced the chip and the "puppy mill breeder" said such and such does not mean the breeder took the dog back. I guess I was giving the "breeder" the benefit of a doubt. That they would do the right thing and reclaim the pup that was traced to them and try to find it's home. :( bummer |
This is what the site said in one of the responses: "there is no suggestion that she was returned to the puppy mill, in fact that is not what happened: that would never happen." Just going by the picture, the dog seems well cared for. Which sort of confuses me as to why the owner didn't update the chip. But then, I guess some people don't think about that part? In any case, she's not on the list anymore so I hope she went back to a loving/caring owner who will take more caution not to lose her again. |
