Help! I'm a first time dog owner and I've not had my yorkie a week. Bella is 9 weeks old. She has thrown up 4 times today so far it have no idea why. This has never happened before. Should I switch her food? I feed her 3 times a day and it's worked so far should I feed her more often and less amounts? She also eats everything when I take her outside so I'm sure that doesn't help. Please help me! |
There are a lot of things that can cause repeated vomiting, from the benign to the life threatening. Because of her age it is imperative that you get her to a vet today. At her age she can quickly become hypoglycemic or dehydrated. |

Definitely not a matter of switching foods or feeding less. Even my adult big boys are at risk for dehydration and hypoglycemia when vomiting. Really young puppies are a huge risk. The biggest concerns are ingestion of something toxic or an obstruction. |
Or some kind of bug. I'm guessing your 9 week old baby has not had all its vaccinations. Please take her in to see the vet! She may have caught something like coccidia. I'm not trying to scare you, but it is possible she may be sick. Since we're not medical experts it's important you seek one. Better safe than sorry, right? |
