OMG anyone in Los Angeles want to rescue a 1 yr old yorkie from a shelter? I was just looking on Craigslist at the shelter rescue ads, and there is a beautiful 1 yr old yorkie who has run out of time, and also an 8 week old yorkie mix in the same situation. If anyone in California is interested here is the listing :-( DON'T LET THEM KILL US! YORKIE PUP-MIN PIN-WOLFHOUND-PUG-LHASA-BRUSSEL . Please help if you can, the one year old looks sooo sweet :-( I can't understand how it ended up there !!!!!!! |
oh my tooo sad! i am not even close to ca and unfortunately there are many yorkies and small breeds that get put in high kill shelters in ca. prayers this baby finds a home..all of them actually. |
Yea I seen there was also a 8 wk old yorkie mix on the list too :-( if I didn't already have so many animals ( 3 cats and 1 dog) in my condo, I would run down there and scoop them up !!!! That yorkie is beautiful. My hubby would kill me though. I put it on my Facebook too, hoping someone will snatch them up :-) please share this, maybe someone will see it ;-) |
I live in a condo too & am over my limit! Poor babies, hope they get adopted or a rescue picks them up! |
There was someone in search of a Yorkie in CA and it's driving me nuts because I can't find the thread!! The person was stating that they could not find a yorkie at a cheap enough price. A few people commented that owning a pet can be expensive because of the vet bills and I had posted a link to a page on Yorkie Havens website that shows a breakdown of costs and why it costs as much as it does to adopt a dog!! I don't think it was in the GD section. I think it was in the yorkies for sale or wanted or the rescue section. Anyhoooo.....I can't find the thread right now and am running late for work, but if anyone remembers it, perhaps the person who started the thread in search of a yorkie would be interested in going and rescuing one of these poor babies!!! |
I racked my brain all night, trying to think of how a 1 yr old yorkie could end up in a shelter :-( and it looks so nicely taken care of and groomed :-( I am going to call one of my yorkie friends today that has a 13 year old named pasha, maybe she might be interested. |
I Am In Cali Hello everyone I live in Los Angeles and I am looking for a yorkie. I have one yorkie and a shih tzu. My husband wants another yorkie. I would love to know where they are and possibly adopt if they are still there. |

I can't find him (or all the others I posted) in their site either...the ad from craigslist is from 24 days ago. Maybe he was adopted? Maybe give them a call tomorrow? OMG, I just read this from the ad, IDK if they're talking about the dogs in the pic?: No one came for some of the dogs we've posted in the last few weeks and they were reportedly killed by this shelter. So many sweet, loving, friendly dogs need an angel to save them. Rescues report that this shelter doesn't respond to their many rescues requests to pull an animal, and the dog reportedly dies instead. Please go to the shelter, as many people say they do not return their phone calls. Potential adopters have reported getting the wrong information when they call the shelter, so please go there, or a loving dog will miss their only chance at not dying. |

I did find the thread I was talking about earlier, where the poster was looking for an inexpensive yorkie in CA. I sent them a PM and directed them to this thread. Hopefully they see it and go save one of these babies!! |
I called my friend yesterday to see if she had an interest in rescuing him, but she said she couldn't as pasha doesn't get along with other dogs, but she was also going to put the word out. I was finding that just by searching on Los Angeles Craigslist, under pets, and yorkie, and there were several different shelters that came up besides this one that had yorkies. This one really caught my eye because Teddy was only a year old. I sure hope he has or does get rescued :-( |
