Shampoo Ok! My groomer uses a shampoo and cologne on my dogs that smells divine. Do they get their supplies from a place that only sales to groomers? What do y'all use? Any suggestions? Right now I am using Aroma Paws. It is really good for Jilly's long coat. |

Personally I would be leary of any groomer who will not share what products they are using on my pup! Maybe I'm just really picky. |
I have used the Yorkie Splash and Shine products on Gracie for a couple of years now. They are all natural and smell wonderful. I don't buy products because of scent. I'm more concerned with how well they work but the YSS products just make me want to keep my face next to her all the time. My groomer uses WEN on her and that smells great, too. So I got her some of the Gardenia WEN and it makes her fur every bit as nice as the YSS products and smells just as good. I'd say the Yorkie Splash and Shine is less expensive so I guess I will continue using that when we run out of WEN. I only use all natural products on my pets. The natural essential oils that are in a good product smell divine and last longer than other chemical derived scents. The products keep her coat shiny and manageable between baths, too. |
I use PetHead only because they have whitening shampoo and he gets very dirty underneath! I love the smell. The breeder used a groomer/grooming shampoo that smelled terrific, so I emailed and asked what it was. I'm going to look at the YSS products now. |

Petsmart Ok I go to PetSmart to have my dogs groomed. They are in a room with windows, so you can watch them while they are being groomed! They just don't offer their grooming supplies for sale. They are not trying to keep anything a secret. She does a wonderful job on my pups . I love my pups just as much as anyone on this site. I asked a simple question about shampoo. Thank you to those of you who shared product ideas. |
Here is the link to the YSS product website. I know several people here at YT use it. You can get a 10% discount with the the YT coupon code. Yorkie Splash and Yorkie Shine | Yorkie Shampoo and Yorkie Conditioner ytdiscount is the code. |

I was using Yorkie Splash and Shine and then I started noticing Piper being really itchy after I bathed her but she was fine when she came home from the groomers. I decided to try Chris Christensen's Day to Day shampoo and conditioner and use Precious Drop for the leave in and use on her coat when I brush her and Silk Spirits on her bum because it's so curly. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this shampoo and conditioner!! They even offer trial sized system kits for $10 so you can try before you invest the money for bigger sizes. I would demand that the groomer tell me what grooming supplies they are using on my dog regardless of how good they are!! That's just me though. You have every right to know what they are using on your dog just like you have every right to know what you are putting in your mouth. |
I posted on your visitor message, but for the sake of other people who might be interested, I'll post what use here. I use a number of shampoos, all of them really nice. I use IVSanBenard Black Passion (with Argan oil) and Fruit of the Groomer--Passion Fruit, and their PEK conditioner is awesome. It's very expensive, but I wait for a sale, and it lasts a long time. They have a long lasting scent. I also use Isle of Dogs #10 shampoo and their #51 heavy conditioner. It is great for the skin and has a very nice primrose vanilla cream smell. It's a little heavy for me because of have trouble with perfumes, but it's still very nice and has the same smell as their great de tangling spray.https://www.iodogs.com/p-269-no-10-e...l-shampoo.aspx Chris Christensen also has nice shampoos, and I use Spectrum 10. Their trial size kits are great. https://www.iodogs.com/p-269-no-10-e...l-shampoo.aspx I have used Jerob Mink Oil and Ccoa Butter shampoo for over 20 years, and I still use it as a pre-wash, but I have been using the Isle of Dogs and IVSanBbernard mostly. Katie has very thick, silky hair, but it makes a difference when I use good shampoos and conditioners on her. Good luck finding a shampoo you love |
