OH well even if it is not true it was a heartwarming story, at least it had a happy ending for the dog.

Oh yes, tears are flowing. Poor pup, can you imagine how afraid and sad he was?

Whether the particulars on the story are true or not, what is real to me is the emotion that a dog must go through when they are placed in a shelter. The sense of confusion, abandonment and grief. No matter how good our reasons are for giving them up, there is no way to explain it or justify it to them. Their pain and loss is very, very real.

This is what scares me about my furkids. We no longer have a child to take them. No one knows how to take care of them like I do. We are both in early 60's, I know these will be our last dogs. Rico is 10 Libby 3. Libby will be the last one, and I pray I not go first. No one wants to think about this, but it is a fact. :eek:

I just read this to my whole family. My husband who is military, my daughters and my sons. Not a dry eye in the room. What an honor to be this dogs new owner, it must be for her.
