Bella's home! Sh's doing great. Sleeping, a little trembly. Incision looks good. She was so happy to see mommy!! She won't let daddy hold her, only wants mommy for now.:littleang |
We gave Gina a little Enercal, same thing as Nutrical, after she ate, to give her a little extra energy to digest, and when she woke up, for the 1st 2 days or so. Glad she's home. Cheers Quad & Gina:aimeeyork |
Glad Bella's home and can recuperate with Mom. |
I gave her some chicken baby food for dinner. She ate it all up and kept it down. Gave her pain pill with a little boiled chicken breast. She's still very sleepy and sometimes gives me a "Mom, why do I feel funny?" look. |

Poor baby, hope she'll be back to her spunky self real soon! |
I have a question! Did your vet tatoo Bella to show that she had been spayed? My vet did and said this was a new thing they were doing. I wasn't told about it. Not so sure I'm happy about it either. Not planning on ever rehoming Hannah but I guess if she were to get lost another vet would know that she has been spayed?? I thought they would be able to tell??? |

He did not tattoo her. I would have been upset. Is it visible? Wouldn't another vet be able to tell by the scar? |
You would think that anyone would be able to tell from the scar! The tattoo is very visible. It's on her inner thigh. I will have a conversation with my vet on Saturday for sure! |
Just spoke to another vet in my area and they are thinking of doing the same thing but she said they would absolutely give the dog owner the option. She said that the "scar" could indicate other kind of surgery not just spay so a vet would actually have to open the dog to verify that a spay has been done if the owner was not sure that it had. I guess this makes sense.. |
in LA they do the tatoo in their ear...that's where Keylo's is anyway...a little green star. Glad Bella is home resting!! |
