I have a dilemma Okay so about two weeks ago i boiled some chicken for zoey a couple days in row now all she wants is boiled chicken :( i tried to start giving her some dog food again but she doesnt eat it anymore...i give her royal canine with food she used to love it now she wont come near it :( what do i do? orginally i gave her the boiled chicken bec i saw she was starting not to eat her dog food! bad mistake |
Ha ! Careful, she's training you :) Same thing happened with Charlie when we first got him, hahaha. We gave him some plain boiled chicken mixed with his food to help encourage him to eat. Well after a few days it obvious he was only eating the chicken. So we put a drop or two of good olive oil on his dry food, gave it a mix and he loved it ! We did that for a few days, and he was fine to eat his food :) Now he gets it as a treat. Maybe worth a try, good for their coats too ! |
Coz it's so tasty hahahaha perhaps find a chicken based kibble |

She's got you trained ;) Someone suggested olive oil, I have used the water that I boil the chicken in while gradually decreasing the amount of chicken in the mix. |

Zoey did that few times when I'd give her chicken b/c she was having tummy issues. I ended up getting a can of chicken broth (no salt added) and just soaking the kibbles. I just decreased the amount of broth gradually. She won't hold out for chicken anymore but unfortunately, she refuses to eat the only kibbles in the morning so I mix it with a little of wet food. I tried getting her to eat just kibbles but she's so stubborn. She vomited yellow bile so I caved. :( I'd rather she be bit spoiled then have her be sick. I have to pick my battles. LOL |
I give Charlie Ancana small breed and he really likes it. |
LOL~Ive got the same thing going on in my house...except with baby food instead of chicken!! |
Lol they know just how to work you. Mine did the same thing to me after a bout with their tummies. I still at times grind chicken very fine in the food processor and mix it with their kibble. Like others said gradually decrease the amounts and you will get her back on track. |
She does work me ehh I dnt mind lol she will still be a person then a human will lol |
