I don't know about others but from observing my two, Zoey seems to drink bit at a time often as Magnus drinks a lot in less number of times. I think it also has to do with how active they are throughout the day. Also, I think Zoey's more active throughout the day. Maybe that's why she pees more often. o_O

I am also a bit paranoid with hypoglycemia because Callie has had issues with it as an adult and it has scared the crap out of me.

If you had ever had a pup go through a hypoglycemic episode you would not follow that advice. Several years ago I had a small 4 month old poodle survive one. She generally slept in a crate, but that night I had fallen asleep on the couch with her laying on me. Had she been in her crate she would have died. I woke up late to head to bed and could not rouse her. Off to the ER clinic we went because I didn't even know about hypoglycemia back then. Her glucose was very low and she was starting to dehydrate. After spending several hours (and several hundred dollars) getting her fluids and her sugar up, she was fine. And she never slept in a crate again - she was right there on me so I could watch her. And now I make sure ALL my dogs have at least a snack before bed and access to water.

Sounds about the same as my experience. Tufty still wakes me once a night usually around 2:30-3 to go out. I'm happy he wakes me means he learned from Teegy. I'll always take them out no matter what time it is. Geez sometimes it's me waking them up if I have to go hahahaha

Maybe what you're going to have to do if you don't want to get up with her is set up an area that will be her bed, eating, and potty place. That way when she wants to go potty in middle of the night she can. You can put her crate (if she has one) or make her a bed and then put a board up between her bed and her potty. You could put her food and water at the end of her bed. Let me see if I can find the link to this method.

It's very scary. Callie never had one as a pup but she has as an adult and I luckily knew what to do but it scares the crud right out of you.
