Just a question!! :) My Yorkie will be 6 months old on Aug 20th. He is the cutest, sweetest puppy in the world. He is not a Teacup Yorkie, but he is rather small. I was wondering from people who have older puppies, do they grow much after 6 months of age or will he pretty much stay the size he is?? |
Growth depends on genetics. Many Yorkies are full grown by 8 months in terms of height and length. Yorkies develop muscle and generally fill out their second year. My boys are brothers and had late growth spurts at 11 months of age. |
I agree with Kristin... My little one, Billi stopped growing around 6 months (she's 8 months), but I've noticed her filling out and becoming a bit sturdier the last few weeks. You probably have a good idea of their adult size already :) |
I honestly can't remember with Callie because its been 6 years but I think they can gain weight until around a year and then they start filling out more but every dog is different. Also there is no such thing as a teacup it is a word used by bad breeders and puppy mills to jack up there prices a yorkie is simply just a yorkie no matter what size :) |
Teegy kept growing for over a year, Tufty I'd say he stopped around the same he got taller |
