Wow! Thank you everyone for your replies. So much to think about. I was skeptical of this brand being good for both dogs and cats because I was always told they have different requirements too. Turns out its a mot point since our cat, Harley wants nothing to do with this food and sadly Duke does not either. Daisy is the itchy one and she has had only a few bites if it. I'm thinking maybe we should have tried the more gamey flavours. I have switched their kibble from RC extra small puppy to Arcana which is grain free so I'm hoping that helps. I will also look into the shampoo suggested by one of you and ask about the OTC anti histamines, she is less than 5lbs so I have no idea how to dose that. I am very glad that some of you mentioned washing their little faces because I totally did not think of that!!! I was washing my hands and everything else like crazy but did not think of washing the, so Thank You! I think my next step is going to be our Vet and ask for allergy tests, stick with the new grain free kibble that they are loving, thank God, and do a lot more research into this raw diet and the input from our Vet and hopefully get my little girl itch free within the next month or so if possible. Thank you for all of your input and suggestions and links, I love this forum!!!! Soon I will figure out how to put pics up. Lol. Thanks again! |
