Winter shoe suggestions? Hi everyone .....this is my first snowy winter with my little fur baby and she loves to be outdoors. Boy will she be in for a surprise when the snow starts flying! Lol I could sure use some suggestions on winter footwear which seem to be most comfortable and STAY on? Anyone have Guardian Gear? They are water repellant but doesn't look like they are warm... It doesn't take long to get cold! |
I would send a pm to alldogboots http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/member.php?u=19211182 this is her website Dog Boots | Dog Shoes & Dog Booties. I'm sure she would be glad to help you. |

Thanks I will surely do that. |
great question, I was wondering the same thing. My two come in from their morning walks with their legs soaked! |
I hope your baby doesn't mind wearing shoes. My two won't move when it's on no matter what I try. I don't mind their paws getting wet but I'm more concerned about the possible damage the salt on the sidewalks/roads would cause. So after doing some research, I found musher's secret. It's basically a wax you apply to their pads for protection. I'm very happy with it. |
That's why I was hoping for some suggestions on what works for everyone else out there in the yorkie world . There are so many out there it's hard to order online you don't know what they're really like and I can't ever find them small enough in stores. I will keep the wax in mind... I wanted something warm and lightweight and water repellant Is what I was looking for......doesn't look like anyone else uses them either.... |
There are these little rubber booties you can get for the pups called PAWZ, they are stretchy and go on the foot like a sock sort of. You can easily find them online or like at pets@home, or petsmart...they protect the pups feet from snow, ground salts, sand, all the winter woes. I've read good reviews on them, but haven't tried them myself! |
