Started a bad habit So I think I started a bad habit with my baby boy nino usually he'll sleep in the living room in his xpen & during the day ill let him roam around or be in my bed room playing with me on the bed . & lately he's been having these big fits when he doesn't get his way as in being a big barker .hes usually very quiet ..if he's not in the room sleeping with me or on the bed he throws a fit & it's totally my fault I know lol any suggestions on how I can break the habit he's still fairly you g about 14 weeks now |
It's getting so bad that I try not to move in bed to keep him from barking n the second he knows I'm awake it starts all over again lol |
Mine sleeps in the bed with us and has from day one. I wouldn't have it any other way, so I don't consider it a bad habit. Yorkies want to be with their people, not in another room. Maybe move the xpen into your room if you don't want him in the bed. |
My Jess sleeps in a medium crate in my daughters room. Has a big bed and a pee pad in it. She is very happy there (I don't want her in our beds) as long as she can hear my daughters breathing she feels safe. |
Ok, I'm a sucker. A 14 week old baby would definitely get to sleep with me.:happyw: But, then again I'm one of those that loves to have my little girl right where I am. And that's where she wants to be. Her previous owner told us that she did not sleep in the bed with her, but since we have had her that is where she sleeps and to be quite honest with you I would have thought that's where she slept with her previous owner. Coco was put in our bed the first night we had her and she acted like that was where she was supposed to be. |
Best thing is to ignore it because if you give in then he knows how to make you give in and get what he wants. |
I think he will get over the barking as she gets older and understands you want her sleeping with you. Try and be patient and everything will turn out ok. |

Our bella has slept with us from day one ! She knows its bed time,and is ready to get in the bed around 8-830 to watch tv and sleeps till 2 or 3 and let her out on the porch ( screened room) on the pee pad ! And back to bed ! Lol |
