OMG it's like deja vu to me :-( Gizmo was also covered in sores, but the vet verified they were not bites from another dog, he was being eaten alive by fleas :-( I finally feel his health is up to a real to a professional groomer :-) I have a mobile groomer coming on the 19th to give him a good grooming, and the company is very highly regarded, as all the drs at the hospital where my daughter works uses them :-) I still worry and that's why I picked a mobile groomer :-) that way I can keep an eye on him while he's being groomed lol. He lost most of his hair because he was so malnourished, and the only part that is still long, is about a 2" section that goes over his back right on the hind end of him. The hair that did not fall out is soooo dry and just from it not having nutrients as a baby, so they are going to trim that part down to meet the length of the new nice silky hair that has grown back. It's amazing that even almost 3 months later, you can still see parts of the damage they did to him. I also looked at his teeth last night, and realized he has 2 full rows of the tiny teeth between his canines (well 3 canines, because he lost one of his adult canines from the abuse.)
I sure hope some kind soul takes that little pup into their lived and gives it the love it deserves :-( this just hits so close to home and my heart, you have no idea XOXO I'm going to pray for this pup and hope its finds a forever loving home<3 |
