How is it... That a 5 pound dog can take up 3/4s of a queen sized bed???? Hubby and I are literally hanging off the edges lol. Allie isn't allowed to be around the boys right now, so she's been sleeping with hubby and me...at least she's sleeping. We're hanging on for dear life and trying not to disturb the "princess". |
A mystery that will probably never be figured out, I had a 3.4lb girl that took up 3/4 of the bed she shared with me and my wife. Enjoy her, I miss the 1/4 bed. Cheers Quad & Gina:aimeeyork |
Tell me about it! My smallest one, Sapphire, is 5 lbs, and takes up 3/4 of the bed. That leaves 1/4 left for myself, my husband, and the other two 10 LB yorkies, Gellica & Phantom. We definitely need a King size bed! |
That is why mine sleep in a crate, I like my space. I kick out my four cats and my big dogs sleep on the ground. |
I've just finally accepted that it's their bed and I'm lucky to be allowed in it. |
Lol, I know the feeling. We have two sleeping with us and I am sleeping on the edge. It's hard to turnover |
My little Mylee is like 7 lbs, but she's very light on her feet and not much substance to her frame when you pick her up. (She looks heavier than she is) but when she sleeps, OMG, she's like a TON! I try to gently nudge her to make her move, and there's no give. To make matters worse...she MUST be touching me. If I break free and move to a "cooler" part of the bed...she gets up and moves over too. :D:D I wouldn't change it, she snuggles better than my dh ever has. :p |

I don't let them upstairs but I do nap with them on the couch on weekends. :D Space is one thing but the snoring and sleeping "talking"... That's a whole new level. Magnus (15.5 lbs) is usually quite. But Zoey (5.5 lbs) either snores or talks in her sleep. And goodness is she loud! LOL |
Ughh...I've already decided that when I move, I will be getting a king size bed because a queen just doesn't cut it. For some reason, both of the boys have decided that I am their personal pillow. Ricky sleeps between my legs or pressed up right beside me and Princeton likes to lay on my stomach. Prince will eventually move to the end of the bed. |
I really don't think it matters how big your bed it. The yorkies will want to be right up against you. |
I excepted it a long time ago when I got my first dog that it was her house and she allows us to just live there. Now many dogs later it is the same way with Amy, her house her rules. LOL |

Lola is working on the art of being impossible to move. She likes to sleep on top of me or pressed as close as possible. I've been sleeping with a dog since I was 7, so I don't know what it's like to have more than the edge. |

My dogs sleeps with me. I love to cuddle with them. My hubby tolerates it. He can sleep through a hurricane. hahahaha |
We got a king tempurpedic bed with Ian in mind! He's the only one who gets a good night sleep! |
dog In our house the dog is boss. Husband has to move when the dog wants space. HaHa It is funny at times to see how a dog can rule the roost! |
This started for me along time ago, since I have 3 cats. Gizmo sleeps in his xpen because all the cats sleep on our bed (even though we have a perfectly great guest room with an empty queen sized bed in it). When I bought my town home, I didn't think a king would fit my master bedroom so I downsized to a queen. Well I realized my bedroom was much larger than I thought, once I had moved everything in. So I bought a new king sized bed, and I can confirm, no matter how big your bed is, it will ever be big enough HAHAHAHA. All it did by getting the king sized, was it gave them more room, not us lol. |
Kayla goes back and forth from me to her daddy. When she gets hot she will jump to the other one and it feels like she knocks the breath out of you. When I go to the bathroom, she will run and growl at me and not want me back in the bed. Little twerp. My husband says I wake her up and scare her. He said, talk to her and let her know you are getting back in bed. yeah right!!! How long does it take to tee tee. She thinks she owns that bed. (I think she does too. lol!!!) |
Normally they don't sleep with us, but we had to seperate them, and crating her doesn't seem fair when the boys are in the kitchen and arent being crated. They get to run around the kitchen like normal. She gets special treatment for a few weeks, then when they're all back together, we all take naps on the couch and lay in the bed, but they actually sleep in the kitchen on their own beds. But yeah-she feels like a ton of bricks, snores almost as bad as hubby, and steals the covers and my pillow lol. |
I hope some day Gunner will be big enough to sleep on the bed with me. I miss my old poodle. Right now he is only 4.5 months old and doesn't know how to be still. |
I try to stay over at the side when Trinket and I take our nap. I sleep on my side, and she gets as close to my back as she can get. We have a queen sized bed, but she wants to feel mama. |

Max and Teddy hog the bed and steal my blankets and pillows. |
I have three that sleep with us in a king size bed. Still not enough room |
I'll never understand this myself, Tufty usually tucks himself snuggly against my belly, but lately he's taken to tucking himself under my chin on my shoulder. I think he's playing the, I can get closer to mummy than you can Teegy, game. |
