New member Hi! We lost our 15 year old Yorkie, Duncan, 4 weeks ago. I then had major surgery to revise a painful hip replacement. I have to be down for at least 6 weeks before starting physical therapy, and time passes so slow with my precious little friend to snuggle, make me laugh, and lick up all my tears. So now, my dh and I are looking to adopt a puppy in the spring. I will be asking for breeder recommendations from the community (if that's allowed). We live in the suburbs of Chicago. Thank you in advance for your help! Monica |
Hi and Welcome to YT! So sorry about your loss of little Duncan. It's so sad and heartbreaking when they pass on. Hope you're feeling better and you have a quick recuperation... good luck with your search for a new friend... |
Hi Monica. I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved pup. I think most of us have been thru losses such as this and we feel your emptiness and heartache. I'm so happy that you have those memories to help you through this time now, though. Hold onto those. Praying for your heart to heal and for your hip to heal. Take it easy so you'll be all ready for the rambunciousness of a new one in the Spring :) There are many great breeders that people here can recommend. I would first suggest looking at the YTCA.org website and looking into breeders in your area. Just because they are or are not on that site, though, doesn't ensure anything. Research any breeder you find and ask all your questions here. We are happy to help and enjoy the journey with you. :) |
Hello and welcome to YT. I am so sorry for your loss. Good luck in your search for your new addition . Please start by checking out the YTCA website for reputable breeders |
Welcome to YT! Sorry to hear about the loss of your little angel. Hope you feel better soon as spring will be here before you know it. Good luck in your search for a new pup! |
Welcome! I am sorry to hear about the loss of Duncan. I hope your recovery goes well. I live in the north suburb of gurnee. There are several good show breeders in Illinois. If you are able to attend a dog show it gives you a chance to see their dogs. I think there is a show in December usually in Rosemont or McCormick place. If there's anything I can do let me know. |
Welcome to YT, so sorry for your loss of Duncan, I too lost my Yorkie earlier this year. I wish you a quick recovery, I've had both knees replaced 8 years ago, and I wish you had him beside you, Megan really made my recoveries better. Best of luck with a new puppy when you get one. Cheers Quad & Gina:aimeeyork |
