cheapest reliable source for Heartgard Plus? I've always used 1800petmeds without any problem for Heartgard for Maggie. I buy the year supply. Current price is about $65. Does anybody know of any great deals out there? I am leery to buy from somewhere completely unknown because you can't trust some of them. |

Just be careful there are some shotty places out there who will sell you stuff that looks like the real stuff but ends up not being. I feel safest getting mine from my vet and I also get a $12.00 rebate. |

Heartgard Plus for Dogs |
I get mine from my vet and it went up $10 since the last time I purchased it! It was $42 for a 6 pack. I asked if I could get it else where with out a script and I was told no! How do you buy it without a script from the vet? |

My vet will give the presciption but IDK if its true but I was told if you don't buy from your vet the company doesn't stand behind the product on the odd chance your dog does get heartworm. |

I'm not worried about using the big names to order from. If they were selling bogus stuff it would end up hurting their business. The rebate is only good if you order it from your vet, but they are higher priced to start. Also, you do need a Rx in your pets file to order online, it's like buying contact lenses online, they verify the prescription. Maybe there would be a problem (if you had a problem) if you bought it without a prescription. I wish they sold it without the medicine in it. It is one of Maggie's all time favorite treats and she is so picky about her treats! I'd give it to her daily if I could (as a treat). |
There's a huge black market for this stuff. I only buy from my vet. |

Heartgard Product Guarantee - 1800PetMeds |
Idk how much they are, but costco and sams club sell some pet medicine. I think you can get it without a membership, I know you can get people medicine without one. I bought revolution at costco, it was like $30 for one dose at my vet & $60 for 3 doses at costco. |

Who gets heatworm tests 6 months apart?? It doesn't actually say where the Heartgard must be obtained. Actually, reading it again.....looks like the left side is 1800petmeds saying they will reimburse $500 if you purchase from them...."no hassle" the right side is what the mfg requires (the stuff I wrote early in this post). Of course, I ordered from foster&smith, so who knows. No idea of the cost of the treatment and whether $500 is close to covering it. I do know some people don't give it over the winter (the 9 month rule for coverage) so they would lose out. I give it all year because my little girl 1) loves it! 2) rolls around in the grass with her boyfriend and you never know when the firs mosquito will show up. |
