Bringing home another Yorkie
 

You guys will understand because my husband thinks I am crazy but secretly I think he is quite fond of the idea. Anyway Friday I got a phone call from a friend who had learned of a sweet little boy who is in need of a new home. She immediately thought of me because of my sweet Sadie Mae and asked if I would be interested. Of course I said I would have to talk to my hubby. Hubby said it's my decision but I better really think about it. This little boy is 3 years old and his human family has run into some pretty hefty financial issues do to the premature birth of twins and the unfortunate death of one. It's still up in the air on whether he will come here or not but I have made our home available even of it were just as a foster for this guy. Yesterday hubby was even asking if I had heard anything. He seemed a little disappointed when I said I had not. Sadie will be going next month to be spade and I am pretty sure this little guy will be going to be nuetered as well. We had talked about getting another Yorkie eventually but not quite this soon. I just can't bear the thought of him going to a home where the new owners would possibly stud him out or him going to a home where he will not get the love and attention and care he deserves.

Getting a second dog was one of the best things I did for my older yorkie. It's been a bit harder on me having a second dog, because it is a lot more work for me....but I wanted someone to keep my older guy company because he had separation anxiety.

Now that I have them both, I wouldn't trade either of them for the world!!

I Can't imagine having just one lol. I personally think three is perfect. That way when u take one out the other two aren't lonely.

Having more than one is expensive, but for me it's been completely worth it. Mine truly are a pack and love each other dearly. If your heart is telling you to do it, then I would arrange a meeting to see how we'll your little girl gets along with this boy. Let that be your guide.

LOL!! This is exactly why I was thinking about getting a 3rd one not too long ago. My older guy, Prince, has anxiety issues if he's left alone...but he has anxiety issues if he goes anywhere other than a walk in the neighborhood. Taking him somewhere results into a good week of gastrointestinal issues. So my younger guy doesn't get to go out as much as he should. I thought about getting a 3rd so they could take turns staying home with Prince.

I haven't done it bc I've had my hands full with these two. I am having potty training issues, esp. with my younger guy...so bringing in a 3rd would probably result in more pee to clean up. If I could get my 2nd one peeing on the pee pads, instead of next to them....I'd consider getting a 3rd one and pee pad train it!!

I have two Yorkies and would get a female Yorkie if my husband would say yes. He does not want another dog. If the Lord calls him home to heaven I will get another, maybe two. No more men, just dogs!

morgan is going to get a brother in the spring // can't just have one lol
