Fun day at the dog park
 

I wish I had thought to take my camera. We went kind of spur of the moment. It was so pretty here today and in the 60's this is probably the last warm and pretty day for a while.

Anyway, I wish I had my camera. There were several beagles there today and Wyatt was so excited to get in the gate so I could take his leash off Mollie could care less sometimes. She just wants everyone to pet her. The next thing I know I look up to see Wyatt be chased by 4 or 5 beagles and they were having a blast. He would run a while and then he would roll over on his back to let the dogs check him out.

A few minutes before we left this couple came in with a gorgeous Shih Tzu puppy he eventually comes running over to me for me to pet him and Wyatt comes running over and get's in between me & him and starts growling and snaps at him. I was so embarassed I told the couple that he has never done that before which he hasn't.

A few more minutes another couple comes in with 2 choc lab puppies and of course they are 3 or 4 times the size of him and he didn't mind me petting them a bit.

I guess it's just the little dogs he is jealous of for some reason.

Please be very careful with little guys in dog parks.
In Calgary a Yorkie was killed in an off leash park by a bigger dog.
Some that use these place do not have their dogs as well trained as they should be.
Some of the dogs also have very bad habits which can stress out a smaller dog.

Thanks, I am. Dogs over 20lbs are not allowed in the section that we are in, it's only for 20lbs & under.

Oh is that is wonderful. A little dog walking park.

It's so much fun watching them isn't it Sheila - your little guy knows how to enjoy himself - my girls just are happy to sit and watch all the action when we go to the doggie park near my home ... I wish you had your camera too girl :)

We have a great one in NJ too. It has two sections, one for little dogs and one for big dogs. Tucker spends the whole time walking around peeing on everything. He doesn't get the play part!
