Helping with slipping on hard floors I'm thinking of getting these socks to help Lulu with slipping on our hardwood floors. She loves to play and run, but slips on the floor & since she has LP, I worry about it causing an injury or pain. Think these will help? She is only 4.5 lbs so I figure I need the "tiny" size. Bump cause I'm having this issue too. Solutions would be grateful! |
I have that issue also and am always cutting the hair between the pads and around the paws. It's not a total solution but it helps. I have socks for Coco too, but she hates them and won't run at all if I put them on her. |
2 Attachment(s) Hey, that's my site!:) The little pink socks are adorable and practical for help with slipping on wood floors. However, you may be better off with our Mini Meshies The Mini Meshies have more surface space padding on the bottom of the bootie, whereas the socks only have a small rubber paw print on the bottom. Here are the Mini Meshies if you want to take a look: Small Dog Mini Meshies by Barko Booties - Pink Please contact me for your YT discount if you like what you see. Same problem here too I went the throw rug route. JC Penny has some beautiful "furry" soft rugs in various sizes. I lay them down and pick them up till she has her pee pee priorities down, if ya know what I mean.but it works great, nonslip back too.beautiful grey, or cream, or brown or sage. |
Gizmo was slipping on my wood floors too but he learned pretty quick not to run as fast on the wood floors and does most of his zooming stuff on our large area rugs, then just now trots on the hardwood. I find he's pretty adaptable to our house and learns as he goes on different surfaces :-) |

Morgan has the same issue with the floor at the groomers and my hubby wants to put down hardwood floors and Morgan absolutely will not wear socks or shoes. When we put them on all he does is stand there |

Hehe they do look so cute when they are trotting :-) |
Huey does the same thing. We have all hardwood and he runs in place like a cartoon character (I can hear the sound effect) until he gets traction and takes off. He is hilarious chasing his throw toys as he spins and slides on the floor. He has learned to use it to his advantage during the zoomies as he banks the corners... he starts his turn early, slides and hits the wall and pushes off like a swimmer making his turn. :D (I tried to add the sound file but it won't let me :() |
