Just curios How many of your fur babies eat as soon as they get up? If not how long does it take till they eat? |
My boys are eager to eat as soon as they wake up. They eat dinner early, 4pm, so they are starving by 5 or 6 am. There is a thread in the poll section about how many meals a day everyone's Yorkies eat. There are some doggies who eat only once a day, and they prefer to eat later in the day. |
Both my yorkie and pomchi eat at 7:15 in the morning. Every morning. They start to bark at me if I don't feed them. :) |
Joel is like me, he needs time before he eats:) the earliest I can get him to eat is an hour or two after he wakes up but it's usually later and he only eats while we're playing fetch, but if I don't try to get him to eat he would eat sometime at night, and he only eats once a day |
Tibbe eats first thing in the morning. Once he got symptomatic from his MVD at about age 3 1/2 - 4 years, he used to eat later in the day but after he got on his hepatic diet, he's starving first thing in the morning and hungry again by 5 - 6:00 pm in the evening. |
Maximo and yorkietalkjilly, my 4 girls are on the same schedule as your boys. They wake me at 6am or a little earlier, eager to go out to pee, get a little treat, then gobble down their breakfast. Then I take a cup of coffee back to bed and watch morning news. They also are ready for dinner by 4pm. I am so lucky that I've found a food they all love and are thriving on, even though they each have different nutritional needs. |

I have no idea how Max started the 4 pm dinner thing. :D It works for both Max and Teddy, so I haven't tried changing it. |
We feed Gizmo at about 6 am everyday and most of the time he doesn't eat right away. Then we feed him again around 5:30 or 6 pm and he doesn't usually eat then right away either. He just snacks through out the day and night. The only way to insure that he eats right away is when he gets wet food like once a week or every other week which he of course scarfs down right away. :D |
