Doggie Spa-- My Butt!!! Stopped in yesterday at the pet store to pick up some dog food and Pet Supplies Plus is introducing a Doggie Spa... :thumbdown This is a box type thing you put in your dogs in (reminds me of a car wash) Then water is sprayed at them from beneath, over top and the sides at the dog. There is a window that you may watch your dog freak out through...   There is no way the dog can keep from water being sprayed in their faces.. :thumbdown I asked one of the clerks after seeing a boxer/ pitbull mix trying desperately to get out of that stupid spa...(by the way it took one whole minute of watching this before I asked the owner why they weren't getting that dog out.. ) How they could justify this to be a spa when the dog was totally freaking out a spa is to relax!!! Not to mention how is this dog being able to BREATH!!! (picture your self in the shower water running over your head as you wash your hair are you breathing??? and if you do what happens...Water up your nose !!!!) So dogs are taking in water and if it gets to the lungs now you are looking at pneumonia!!! I had several looks from customers as I was stating my case in front of the store employees with them over hearing all I had to say. I don't give a crap either.... It is cruel and unjust to put a dog in that contraption.  :thumbdown Break down the word it is exactly that a TRAP!!! Spa my Butt!!! |
I have heard about this before, and I think it is horrible! :thumbdown Good for you for saying something about it! It really isn't fair to the dogs, and does not deserve to be called a spa! |
 that sounds terrible!!! I'm glad you told them what you thought of it! Who could actually put their dog through that!? |
Good grief...our store must not have one of these....I have never heard of such a stupid thing.... |
Omg I can not believe they make such a "SPA" it must stand for Serious Puppy Anxiety??   |
I can tell you that ALL of my friends and family WILL NOT go into a pet store were they actually sell puppies and kittens either I have been asked to leave several pet stores... I don't care either... It makes me angry.. See a puppy in a cage were they have went potty, then they are under lights to bake the feces for bacteria to grow...   Then the issue of what responsible breeder that would sell to a pet store???... Now this spa come on!!  What is next??? |

I've seen the pictures of those spas and they look HORRIBLE - I also heard the same thing from a friend - she saw them actually put a dog in one and demonstrate it and the poor thing was totally PETRIFIED She said she went ballistic wanting to save the poor dog ...alot of people were laughing  & some were upset  Knowing the people here like I do - we'd have got that dog OUT and probably found him a new home where he could have REAL baths You must have been livid watching that - I would have been the same way - from what I hear about those things ..it'd a true LAZY HUMAN Contraption - there is nothing that doesn't say abuse about that thing |
